Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Seoul (South Korea)

Welcome to Korea. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel. Free time to relax. In the afternoon, you'll receive information about the start of the tour.

Day 2: Seoul – Cheorwon DMZ – Seoul

Excursion to the Cheorwon region, visiting:

  • Second Tunnel (dug by North Korea)
  • Cheorwon Peace Observatory (panoramic DMZ views and Korean War museum)
  • Woljeong-ri railway station (abandoned site)
  • Baek Ma Battle Memorial
  • Local Makgeolli (rice liquor) producer visit
    Important: Passport required. The DMZ is a military zone and may close without notice. Alternate route provided if necessary.

Evening:

  • City Hall and Deoksugung Palace (night view)
  • Myeongdong district walk
  • Dinner at a local restaurant
  • Metro ride back to hotel (ticket included)

Day 3: Seoul

Five-hour guided city tour including:

  • Changdeokgung Palace (UNESCO site)
  • Bukchon Hanok Village
  • War Memorial of Korea
  • Lunch included
  • Gangnam District
  • Lotte World Tower (optional visit or shopping)
    Return to hotel and free time.

Day 4: Seoul – Suwon – Jeonju

  • Visit Gyeongbokgung Palace (guard ceremony if available)
  • Depart for Suwon
    • Visit UNESCO Heritage walls
    • Hwaseong Haenggung (summer palace)
  • Lunch included
  • Continue to Jeonju
    • Explore Hanok Village (historic center)

Day 5: Jeonju – Damyang – Haeinsa – Busan

  • Sunchang Gochujang Village (chili paste experience)
  • Damyang Juknokwon Bamboo Forest and Museum
    • Lunch: bamboo rice specialty
  • Visit Haeinsa Buddhist Temple (Tripitaka collection, UNESCO site)
  • Arrive in Busan for overnight stay

Day 6: Busan – Osaka (Japan)

Morning visits in Busan:

  • United Nations Memorial Cemetery

    Flight to Osaka (included). Transfer to hotel.

Day 7: Osaka – Mount Koya

Depart at 11:30 a.m. for Mount Koya:

  • Visit Okuno Mausoleum and Kongobuji Temple
  • Overnight in Buddhist monastery
    • Zen meditation session (Ajikan)
    • Vegetarian dinner included
      Note: Rooms are simple with shared bathrooms. Monastery stay may be replaced by hotel if needed.

Day 8: Mount Koya – Kyoto

  • Traditional breakfast at temple
  • Depart for Kyoto
  • Visit:
    • Fushimi Inari Shrine
    • Imperial Palace
    • Kinkaku-ji (Golden Pavilion)
  • Free time and evening in Gion District
    Note: If Kyoto was previously visited, alternatives will be provided.

Day 9: Kyoto – Eiheiji – Katsuyama – Kanazawa

  • Visit Shirahige Ginra Shrine (by the lake)
  • Eiheiji Zen monastery (admission included)
  • In Katsuyama:
    • Dinosaur Museum
    • Great Buddha of Echizen and 5-story pagoda
  • Arrive in Kanazawa

Day 10: Kanazawa

Morning guided city tour including:

  • Kanazawa Castle
  • Nagamachi Samurai District
  • Kenrokuen Garden (one of Japan’s top 3)
  • Visit Omicho Market for lunch options
    Free afternoon for self-exploration.

Day 11: Kanazawa – Ainokura – Shirakawago – Hida – Takayama

  • Visit UNESCO villages of Ainokura and Shirakawa-go
  • Free time and lunch
  • Visit Hida Folk Village Museum (Edo-period houses)
  • Free time in Takayama’s old town

Day 12: Takayama – Hida Furukawa – Matsumoto – Tokyo

  • Evening arrival in Tokyo

Day 13: Tokyo
